Troubleshooting | Loading of SARIG 2020

All I see is the top banner and a blue Screen.

SARIG 2020 is not compatible with Internet Explorer IE7.

SARIG has been redeveloped to support a range of browsers - this has proved problematic as we fix an issue in one and break it in another. As a Result, SARIG supports versions IE8 and IE9 only.

DMITRE suggest upgrading to a more recent release or if possible use an alternative browser. Google Chrome and Firefox provide the optimal performance and consistency. DMITRE testing has indicated no issues with having multiple browsers in operation on networked computers.

I receive a Geocortex initialise message and map will not load.

All map layers in SARIG are updated on a daily, weekly or monthly basis. On occasion a map layer that has been updated conflicts with SARIG. An example of this is when new header fields have been added to the attribute table and the update process cannot match fields assigned in SARIG. This data conflict will initiate the Geocortex error and prevent SARIG from loading until the SARIG server can be rebooted.

We apologise for this distruption of data delivery and are currently working on the data update process issue to continue to provide the most current data available to the public 24/7.

SARIG takes more than a minute to load.

Try F5 to restart. Alternatively select a data layer from the list to start the map engine.

The map layer widget has disappeared.

At DMITRE we are continuously adding improvements to SARIG. Sometimes with a new release of SARIG your browser may load SARIG from browser history, this can cause errors in the interface and layout.

Clear the cache of your web browser to load the updated SARIG.

When SARIG is loading I recieve a "Stop running this script" Internet Explorer Message.

This is an Internet Explorer issue, simply select the No button to continue loading SARIG. DMITRE suggests that, if possible, you use an alternative browser – Google Chrome and Firefox provide the optimal performance and consistency. 

Troubleshooting | General

When I download a csv file, the file extension has changed and I cannot open the file (CsvExport.ashx).

Certain Internet Browsers version upgrades no longer recognise csv file format, simply change the file type back to csv.

 

MapInfo downloads are only supported by MapInfo V9 or later

MapInfo changed their application at V9 meaning that it was no longer backward compatible. DMITRE suggest contacting the vendor to see if a patch is available for older versions.

DMITRE are very keen to ensure SARIG is compatible with the most recent releases of GIS applications and where possible support on version older.

MapInfo have recently released V10.5

 

SARIG 2020 widget tools are not working.

When I right click the map layer the download option is missing.

Only DMITRE managed data is available for download. For non-DMITRE managed data, see the metadata for information on data accessibility.

 

After I use the navigation toolbar zoom tools the map drags and I cannot zoom in or out

This is a known bug and we are currently looking into the problem.
 

Google Chrome shows a XML page instead of RSS feed.  

When using Google Chrome to view RSS feeds, follow the link to select appropriate extension
